The year 2021 is marked by the 150th birthday of Arnold Schönberg’s friend, teacher and brother-in-law Alexander Zemlinsky. The Clarinet Trio, op. 3 reveals the model of its mentor Johannes Brahms, who, after an encounter with the clarinetist Richard Mühlfeld, found a late compositional bloom. Already with the Fantasies after Richard Dehmel the young composer went his own way. Alban Berg’s expressive miniatures form an effective counterpart to his fleeting impressions of nature.
The concert will be streamed live on facebook and YouTube and will be available seven days after the concert.
